The Cotswolds Collection

Visiting the Cotswolds has been on my list for just a couple of years. I saw some images from another photographer one day and couldn't get over how magical it looked, like stepping into a fairytale. I'm going to keep this short and sweet and link the collection here if that's all you are looking for. If you want to actually know some of the highlights and recommendations of our trip, keep reading!

The Cotswolds is massive, sweeping over 800 miles in total and covering six counties. We lingered in the Gloucestershire county. Our AIRBNB was also right out of a storybook - local cows meandered down the street every morning and the evening walks were stunning. We stayed here.

We got in super late the first night so the exploring didn't happen until the next day. The first day we checked out The Wave - a really cool spot where I felt like I was in California. My sister-in-law is obsessed with surfing so we added this to our list of weekend activities. Afterwards, we enjoyed afternoon tea at The Painswick Hotel (HIGHLY RECOMMEND). It was beautiful and the tea and food was delish.

The next day we hiked. I didn't know this before but "wolds" means hills. The HILLS and VIEWS were stunning. We indulged in delicious ice cream and got Italian for lunch. The ice cream was so good, you have to try it. The pasta place was meh so I will not link it.

The final full day was spent in Bibury. This place is iconic - it's where the "most photographed street" in The Cotswolds lives, but to be honest, I was underwhelmed. Don't get me wrong, it was beautiful, but I'm sure there are other gorgeous streets worthy of similar titles. The highlight of the day was Eleven and The Trout Farm surprisingly. Finally, here is the collection. There are not many and our little highland cow friend really stole the show. If you print any of these photos, please share them with me because I would LOVE to see! I love bringing my camera along on my travels and I think I may need one specifically for these situations so I'm not lugging my bulky SONY around and can share more as travel.
